Patrick Swayze reported to have cancer

Actor Patrick Swayze, who rocketed to fame in the 1987 movie “Dirty Dancing,” which was partly shot in Lake Lure, is reportedly gravely ill with cancer and may have only weeks to live, many news outlets have reported today.Swayze has pancreatic cancer, according to a story in the National Enquirer tabloid weekly, and also reported on Fox News.com, and other news outlets in the United States and around the world. The Enquirer story said that Swayze had been seeking treatment at Stanford University's cancer center in Palo Alto, Calif., but had learned that the disease had spread. Phone calls to Swayze’s representatives were not immediately returned, Fox News.com said.
